Make money playing poker
I have just read an article by Daniel Negreanu, about making money of playing poker. Negreanu is saying it’s all about finding the “suckers” in the casino, and don’t let the sucker be you.
I quote: “If you’re the sixth-best poker player in the world, but routinely play against the best five, you’d still be the worst player at the table, despite the fact that you’re an excellent player.” Words up Mr. Negreanu. Further more he is talking about playing the low limits table, just because it is not a very interesting table for most of the professionals, so you can easily gain money here. On the tables with stakes of $100-$200 and above, you can be pretty sure most of the seated is professionals.
Another thing he is pointing out is that you should look for games with much loose action, though most of the suckers plays too many hands. An easy way to find this out, is to see some rounds before you are getting seated. It is hard to bluff this weak players, so you will certainly gain more money if you wait for premium hands and then get rewarded.
And last but not least, be honest with yourself. You may think you are a topnotch player, but still getting broke. Let some friend of yours evaluate your game, and if you get some positive feedback, be seated and start the hunt of the suckers!
I for sure, will think about this, next time I hit the casinos. ![]()
