Phil Ivey
Just because Phil Ivey will sit down at the table in the show High Stakes Poker later on, I want to dedicate a post just for him. I want to honour a player that is, in my opinion one of the best poker players in the world.

So here we go:
Ivey was born in Riverside, CA, but just after some months his family moved New Jersey. It was his grandfather who would later one introduce poker to him.
At the age of 18, he made a fake ID, just to get in to the casinos in Atlantic City, but the first years was tough for him, he didn’t gain any money, instead he lost some.
But later on he became better and his play really improved, and could play lots of different poker styles, like Hold’em, Stud, Omaha etc.
Here is a interview with him, talking about his style of play and so on:
He moved later on to Atlantic city, at the age of 20. And at the age of 21, he won his first World Series Of Poker bracelet, in a $2,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event.
Now a days, he lives in Las Vegas, and plays poker in one of the highest stakes tables in the world: $4,000/$8,000 blinds at Bellagio Casino.
And soon, we will see this master in action in High Stakes Poker, I can’t hardly wait.
I am almost certain he will stir up the game and his play will be successful. Can’t see players like Jamie Gold outplay a tough player like Phil Ivey.
Well, I might be wrong, stay tuned and we will find out.
Finally, a clip with Ivey in action:
